Whampoa, one of the leading Hong Kong property developers, they deployed a digital signage solution supported by Aptech. The group, which has already completed infrastructure projects covering a gross area exceeding 1.4 million square meters, is using Aptech’s digital signage software to make non-interactive / interactive navigation available in shopping centres.
The network in the shopping centres is made up of 15 full HD interactive screens, mounted in portrait mode and connected to its own individual digital signage player. Whampoa centrally manages the interactive digital signage solution. Content is either uploaded manually through the Aptech Content Manager interface or automatically downloaded from various websites. Whampoa website database is connected to the network. In addition, the team at Whampoa uses Aptech Designer Software to add banners or scripts to the content appearing onscreen. Whampoa expects to double the size of its digital signage network with the opening of new locations. It says Aptech technology was chosen primarily for its usability and that the installation has been successful.
